Some of you that aren’t a geek might wonder what do those geek types chat about. Well wonder no more! Here’s a conversation I had with my boy J about the village idiot, Superman.
J: did I ask you if you watched Smallville season finale?
Jorriss Orroz: Yup. ZOD!
Jorriss Orroz: I'm glad they brought the mirror prison back.
J: yeah..the phantom zone
J: course, now they are totally speeding up the mythos compaired to the movies
Jorriss Orroz: It was always its own mythos.
Jorriss Orroz: Clark & Lex friends?
Jorriss Orroz: cmon
J: but I really like the Zod story...hope first few episodes next season are awesome
Jorriss Orroz: The last few eps further promotes my theory that Clark is an idiot!
J: yeah...I agree with you there
J: there is such a thing as "too good"
Jorriss Orroz: Unlike Supes in the series finale of JLU
J: didn't see
Jorriss Orroz: Damn. Supes was like "I always need to keep it under control or people die. But I think you can take it Darkside. Now I can finally cut it loose."
Jorriss Orroz: Then procedes to beat the living hell out of him.
J: sweeet
Jorriss Orroz: Supes actually outshined Bats in that ep.
J: as he should
Jorriss Orroz: Cmon. Bats always outshine the boy scout.
Jorriss Orroz: Got the money, got the ladies, acts like a complete bad azz
J: If I was Batman...I would look at Supe every day and just be like "Damn...I'm glad your on our side boy"...."if only I had your powers...if only"
Jorriss Orroz: meanwhile supes is all clutzy around Lois, an all-around dweeb, and is all merciful.
Jorriss Orroz: Hell no. Bats would be like "how would you like a kryptonite batarang up your azz boy scout?"
J: now taht would be a good comic...Red Cypto Superman vs. Kryptonite laden Batman
Jorriss Orroz: What makes you think Bats doesn't have Kryptonite on him AT ALL TIMES in his handy dandy belt?
J: tru...just in case
Jorriss Orroz: Supes wants to be Bats all the money, all the girls, you know he wants it.
J: nah...he's too innocent...he needs the red kryptonite just to get his wild side out.
J: probably more comfortable knitting at home with Aquaman
Jorriss Orroz: ooff. Supes swinging that way? I can totally see it.
J: ...real world Metropolis
J: lol
The new Superman Returns trailer has just been released. And I must say it is pretty cool even though Superman isn’t. I mean really, he’s a complete idiot. Batman has his playboy darkness. Spidey has the everyman thing going. The X-Men has the teen angst stuff. Wonder Woman has her butt kicking womanliness. Superman has the strength, the indestructibleness and the brain of a two year old. Just look at Smallville. How many of you would break up with Kristen Kreuk? That’s right NOBODY. Of course our village idiot, Clark Kent, does. At least Supes married Teri Hatcher in Lois & Clark. And that took all of his two brain cells to figure that one out.
Superman Returns will have one thing going for it, Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor. Oh yea. I want to see a little bit Keyser Soze and a lot bit John Doe from Se7en in our new Mr. Luthor. With Spacey now playing Luthor I want to see Lex finally win. How about Luthor machine gunning down Superman with a 90 rounder full of kryptonite bullets? Or Luthor poisoning Lois with a kryptonite cocktail and while Superman watches her die they kiss for the final time, killing them both. Or even better…Kryptonite Chainsaw. Ya, I’ll be rooting for Luthor, seeing Keyser Soze win is always fun.
